Introduction

About My Cache is a powerful utility to help you keep track of what's going on in your browser's Cache-Directory. It does basically the same as entering "about:cache" (into the Navigator's "Go to" Line) or "opera:cache" (into the location line of Opera), but About My Cache provides a much better overview.

By default, your browser keeps copies of HTML-pages, graphics and downloaded files in its "cache"-directory, renaming them with symbolic filenames which the browser later refers to in case you visit a site you've already been to. For more information on this topic please refer to you browser help.

About My Cache provides an easy way to (re)view the contents of your cache-directory by creating a HTML-file ("resul_xx.htm") which contains "readable" hyperlinks to your cached files. This makes it much easier for you to view the cache than loading your cached files manually one by one - and provides you with your cached HTML-files containing all the images just where they belong (which cannot be displayed on a HTML-file loaded directly from the cache).
